Teaching

Teaching statistics is an exercise in translation — finding creative ways to make rigorous methods accessible to students who arrive with very different quantitative backgrounds, from undergraduate honors students to graduate students in biostatistics, epidemiology, and nursing. Whether leading a course, guest lecturing, working one-on-one as a TA, or explaining a concept to a collaborator, I try to keep the material grounded in the applied public health problems that drew me to it in the first place.
